Company History

Collins & Sons was founded in 1888 by brothers Charles E. (left) and Arthur E. (right) Collins, and their father, Charles Collins. The family run business dealt mainly in lumber, plumbing, and real estate. In the sixties the lumber company was incorporated under the name Collins Lumber Corporation. Over one hundred twenty years after it's original inception we are in our fifth generation of family management at the same location on Sixth Avenue in Troy, New York.
